Aloe Vera inner leaf gel

All our ingredients are Bio-Compatible with the COSMOS directive.


 

Aloe Barbadensis: The type of Aloe Vera we use is Aloe Barbadensis Miller. For more info please see Aloe Vera.


 

Butyrospermum parkii: Shea butter. Fat derived from the Shea tree nuts. It is high in vitamins and fatty acids and has inflammatory and healing properties. It is used to help soothe and soften your skin. Shea butter also helps with cell regeneration, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Honey: Honey is a natural emollient and humectant. It helps moisturizes your hair and scalp which gives your hair a healthy and shiny look, it also helps reduces hair breakage. It is high in antioxidant which helps scavenge free radicals in your hair and scalp and stimulate hair growth.

Cera alba: Beeswax. It works as a humectant that traps moisture and creates a protective barrier on your skin. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which help to fight conditions such as acne and eczema. It is also used as an emulsifying agent and an emollient to soften your skin.

Caprae lac: Goat milk. It is full of rich nutrients and when used in soap creates a gentle cleansing agent that doesn't destroy your skin's natural lipids. It contains Alpha-hydroxy acids which is a natural exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells and treat skin conditions like scars, age spots, and hyperpigmentation.

Spirulina platensis powder: Spirulina powder. It is a dried type of algae and is boosting with vitamins and minerals which helps with cell renewal, which helps gives you a youthful look. It helps restores the hair structure, and reduces hair loss. It is also a powerful skin detoxifier that gives you softer and more supple skin.

Curcuma longa root powder: Turmeric powder. A natural exfoliator, great for cleaning your hair and scalp. It helps strengthen your hair and reduce hair loss. It is full of antioxidants that help scavenge free radicals. It also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which help soothe and clear dandruff.

Charcoal: It is a great exfoliant and it helps clean your skin by attracting dirt, oils, toxins, chemicals, heavy metals, and other poisons from your skin, making it easier for the soap to wash it off.

Lava powder: Also called volcanic ash. It is a powerful exfoliant, great at removing dead skin cells and impurities from your skin. It has a large amount of minerals and has antiseptic, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties.

Moroccan lava clay: Also called Ghassoul or Rhassoul clay. It is a natural exfoliant full of vitamins, minerals, and saponin which helps make your hair shiny, soft, silky. It also works as a natural conditioner making your hair more manageable and easier to comb.

Montmorillonite: Green clay or Bentonite clay. A natural exfoliant and is used as a detoxifying cleaning agent for your hair. It is especially good at dragging out any oily substance, toxins, and other impurities from your hair and scalp.

Cocos nucifera seed oil: Coconut oil. One of the greatest natural moisturizers, it is packed with fatty acid with antibacterial properties which helps reduce inflammation on your skin and scalp and it also helps treat a lot of skin conditions like acne, eczema, itchiness, and rashes both on your skin and scalp. It also helps lock in the moisture and creates a protective barrier on your skin and together with its many vitamins and antioxidant helps slow down the signs of aging.

Olea europaea oil: Olive oil. A great natural moisturizer that helps hydrating and keeping your skin smooth. It is also packed with vitamins and has great antioxidating actions, that can help protect your skin from free radicals and other oxidating stress factors which could lead to premature aging.

Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil: Sweet almond oil. A natural moisturizer that is slowly absorbed and therefore is great at binding moisture to your skin and hair, and together with its high vitamin and mineral content helps improve softness, strength, and shine to your skin and hair for a healthier look. It is also used to help prevent dark spots from hyperpigmentation (excess pigmentation known as melanin that can darken part of your skin.).

Lavandula angustifolia oil: Lavender oil. A great natural cleanser, it has antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory actions, which helps treat acne, eczema, and speed up wound healing. It is boosting with antioxidants that help protect your skin from signs of aging. It also works as a natural insect repellant, helping keep mosquitos at bay, and it also works in the treatment of bug bites, by lessening the itchiness and prevent the bite from becoming infected.

Persea gratissima oil: Avocado oil. A wonderful natural hair moisturizer, it has a high content of monounsaturated fats, which makes it a light oil that easily penetrate your hair, strengthen it from shaft to tip. It has a high vitamin content especially vitamin B (biotin), which plays an important role in hair growth.

Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil: Tea tree oil. A powerful natural cleanser with great antiseptic antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Used to help treat a lot of skin conditions, like acne, eczema, and psoriasis, it also helps treat oily skin. It is great at removing dead skin cells and oily residue on your skin and scalp by unclogging pores, which helps gives you clean and healthy skin and to treat and manage dandruff.


 

Passiflora edulis seed oil: Passion fruit oil or Maracuja oil. It is full of good fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants which is great at helping repair and softening dry hair and it also helps promote hair growth. It also helps soothe your scalp with its anti-inflammatory, anti-itchiness, and inti-dandruff properties.

Rosmarinus officinalis oil: Rosemary leaf oil. A natural deep cleanser with antiseptic, anti-microbial, and antiviral actions, great at releasing oils trapped deep in your skin, works great on oily skin and on acne. It is a natural alternative to minoxidil (in Regaine or Rogaine), it helps to stimulate your hair growth and protect you from hair loss with less irritation.

Citrus bergamia oil: Bergamot oil. A powerful natural antiseptic with antibacterial, antifungal, and analgesic properties. It is great at preventing cuts and scabies from getting infected and helps to relieve you from pain and itchiness. It helps unclog pores for deep cleansing while still protecting your skin's natural lipids.

Citrus aurantium oil: Bitter orange oil. It is full of vitamins and minerals and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to keep your scalp healthy and strengthen your hair from root to strand. It is a great source of antioxidants, that helps protect your hair from free radicals.


 

Cymbopogon Citratus leaf oil: Lemongrass oil. A powerful antiseptic oil, used for its antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, great for protecting your skin and keeping it clean. It is analgesic and anti-inflammatory, great at soothing dry and damaged skin. It is also a natural astringent that helps to tighten your skin.

Calendula officinalis oil: Calendula flower oil (Also called Marigold oil). A great remedy for keeping your skin and hair healthy. Its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties help reduce redness and swelling and even speed up wound healing. Its high content of flavonoids (A powerful antioxidant) is great at scavenging free radicals, which could damage your collagen and elastin and lead to premature aging.

Salvia officinalis leaf extract: Sage leaf extract. A great natural source of antioxidants including flavonoids that helps protect your skin from free radicals and its Calcium and vitamin content helps speed up cell turnover giving you a smoother and healthier look. It also helps regulate sebum production which is great for people with oily skin.

Pyrus malus extract: Apple extract. Its large content of vitamins especially B2 (procyanidin) makes it a natural remedy for promoting hair growth by strengthening your hair roots. It also soothes your scalp by helping regulate its pH level which helps prevent itchiness, dryness, and dandruff. It contains a large amount of antioxidants including flavonoids which are great scavenging free radicals helping to protect your hair and scalp.

Cactii extract: Prickly pear extract (Also called Barbarian fig). A great age-defying remedy, it is one of the best natural sources of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your skin's collagen and elastin, and together with the fruit's natural amino acids also helps stimulating cell turnover, which slows down the aging process. It is also a great moisturizer and has anti-inflammatory properties, great at keeping your skin soft and smooth.

 

Water: The only water we use is to dissolve the Sodium hydroxide in our cold processed soap.

Inulin: A dietary fiber. Derived from plants mainly Chicory root or Jerusalem artichoke. Used as a prebiotic that helps keep the scalp healthy and prevent skin irritation. It also has a high free radical scavenging ability and antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.

Glycerin: An alcohol derived from plant oil or animal fat, we use glycerin derived from plant oils. Used as a humectant (prevent loss of moisture).

​
 

Xanthan gum: A natural polysaccharide (chain of sugar molecules) made from fomenting sugar and Xanthomonas campestris. Used as a thickener and stabilizer.

​
 

Citric acid: Acid derived from citrus fruits, we used lemon juice. Used as a preservative.

​
 

Ascorbic acid: Vitamin C. Antioxidant. Helps boost collagen. Anti-bacterial. Used as a preservative.

​
 

Carminic acid: A natural collorent. From cochineal.

​
 

Cetearyl alcohol: A mix of two fatty alcohols cetyl and stearyl, it is derived from vegetable oil and coconut oil or palm oil (We use from coconut). Used as an emollient and emulsion stabilizer.

​
 

Tocopheryl acetate: Vitamin E. Antioxidant. Used as a preservative to improve shelf life.

​
 

Potassium sorbate: Salt of sorbic acid. Used as an antimicrobial preservative.

​
 

Sodium hydroxide: Lye or caustic soda. Used to make oil and fat into soap.

​
 

Sodium Coco Sulfate: Salt of the sulfate ester of coconut alcohol. Used as an emulsifier, surfactant and foaming agent.

​
 

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate: Salt of fatty acids in coconut oil and isethionic acid (an organosulfur). Used as a foaming agent, it is so mild it is also called Baby Foam. It is also used as an emulsifier and surfactant.

Sodium levulinate: Salt of levulinic acid. From starch and vegetal. Used as an antimicrobial preservative.

​
 

Sodium anisate: Salt of p-anisic acid. Derived from fennel or anise. Used as an anti-fungal and anti-microbial preservative.

​
 

Polyglyceryl-3 dicitrate / stearate: Ester from stearic acid (From cocoa butter or shea butter) and Polyglycerin-3 (See Glycerin). Used as an emulsifier and humectant.

​
 

Glyceryl caprylate: Ester from glycerin (See glycerin) and caprylic acid (From coconut oil) Used as an anti-microbial co-emulsifier. It also has moisturizing properties.

​
 

Glyceryl stearate: Ester from glycerin and stearic acid (From plant oil). Used as a natural emulsifying emollient.

​
 

Isoamyl cocoate: Ester from isoamyl alcohol (A natural alcohol) and coconut acid. Used as a natural emollient.


 

Isoamyl laurate: Ester from isoamyl alcohol (A natural alcohol) and lauric acid (From saturated plant oil). Used as a natural emollient.


 

Bis-(Isostearoyl/Oleoyl Isopropyl) Dimonium Methosulfate: From rapeseed oil. Used as hair conditioning. It is a biodegradable alternative to silicone.
